The other day, Blizzard published the official first picture of the WoTLK Gold actor Dominic Cooper (Captain America, Need for Speed) as King Llane as the leader of Stormwind, the Alliance Stormwind city Stormwind and his character in the upcoming World of Warcraft movie. We now have more information on the other characters who will be featured in the film and the actors who will play the characters.
For the Alliance on the other hand, we had the knowledge the actor Travis Fimmel (Vikings) had an appearance, but we know that he'll portray the main character of the Alliance, Lothar, a warrior who sacrifices everything to bring peace to Azeroth.
At a special screening during Blizzcon, World of Warcraft Director Duncan Jones said the movie will have a number of special effects, which he described as "Avatar in addition to Lord of the Rings at the same at the same time."
The World of Warcraft movie has been hit by a setback. CraveOnline caught up with Spider-Man director Sam Raimi at Comic-Con last week. He confirmed that he was no longer attached to the forthcoming film based on Blizzard's massively multiplayer online Role-Playing game due to his involvement in Oz: The Great and Powerful. Raimi is set to become the World of Warcraft film director.
"Actually, I'm not directing World of Warcraft anymore, because after I accepted the Oz job , they had to switch to a different director," Raimi said. "They had to get started making the game."
No mention was made concerning a replacement for cheap WOW WoTLK Classic Gold as director of the World of Warcraft film director. As of press time, Blizzard did not respond to P2Pah's request regarding comment.
